1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using GuardHound ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1A. Eligibility & Age Requirement
You must be at least 16 years of age to create an account or use the Service. If you are under 18, you must have a parent or legal guardian's permission to use the Service. By registering, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. GuardHound does not knowingly collect personal data from users under 16 years of age. If we become aware that a user is under 16, we will promptly delete their account and associated data.
2. Service Description
GuardHound is a domain security monitoring platform that performs automated security checks on domains you submit, including SSL certificate validation, DNS record analysis, CVE vulnerability scanning, WHOIS change detection, and lookalike domain detection.
3. Authorized Use & Domain Ownership
You warrant that you own, operate, or are explicitly authorized to monitor every domain you submit to GuardHound.
- Using GuardHound to scan, probe, or monitor domains you do not own or are not authorized to test is strictly prohibited and may violate the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act (CFAA), the UK Computer Misuse Act, and other applicable laws.
- GuardHound reserves the right to immediately terminate any account found to be scanning unauthorized domains without notice or refund.
- You are solely responsible and liable for any scanning activity performed through your account.
- By adding a domain to your monitored list, you confirm you have the legal right to perform automated security assessments on that domain.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to scan domains without authorization
- Attempt to overwhelm, disrupt, or abuse the scanning infrastructure
- Resell, redistribute, or white-label scan results without prior written agreement
- Circumvent rate limits, plan limits, or other usage restrictions
- Use automated scripts or bots to access the Service beyond the provided API

5A. Multi-Seat Membership & Per-Seat Billing
The Business and Agency plans support multiple members within a single organization. Business includes 3 seats by default; additional seats and all Agency seats are billed per-seat as described below. The following terms apply to multi-seat usage:
- Seat add-on: Each accepted team invitation beyond the seats included with the plan adds $8 per seat per month to the subscription, prorated to the current billing cycle and charged automatically by Stripe.
- Shared resources: All members of an organization share access to the organization's monitored domains, scan results, alerts, and service monitors, subject to the plan's resource limits.
- Owner rights: The organization owner may revoke any member's access at any time. Upon revocation, that member's seat charge ceases at the next billing cycle boundary.
- Invitation acceptance: By accepting a team invitation, you agree to join that organization and to have your activity and monitored-resource access governed by the organization owner's plan.
- Seat billing responsibility: The organization owner is solely responsible for all seat charges incurred by their organization members.
6. Data & Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your data.

- Security scans will detect all vulnerabilities or threats
- Scan results are complete, accurate, or actionable for compliance purposes
- The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
GuardHound is a monitoring tool, not a substitute for professional security auditing, penetration testing, or compliance assessment.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, GuardHound and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to data loss, security breaches, or business interruption.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless GuardHound from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, including any unauthorized domain scanning conducted through your account.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these terms, with or without notice. Upon termination, your data will be deleted according to our data retention policy.
11. Dispute Resolution & Arbitration
Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service ("Dispute") shall first be attempted to be resolved through informal negotiation by contacting legal@guardhound.io. - Arbitration shall be conducted by a single arbitrator in the State of Delaware.
- The arbitrator's decision shall be final and binding, and judgment may be entered in any court of competent jurisdiction.
- Each party shall bear its own costs, and the parties shall split arbitration fees equally.
- Class Action Waiver: You agree that any Dispute shall be conducted in your individual capacity only, not as a class action or other representative proceeding.
Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking injunctive or equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction for matters relating to intellectual property or unauthorized access.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered users.
